A full-size, standard draw hoe is useful for weed control as well as hilling and trenching, but is often too wide for use around closely spaced plants and can be too heavy for extended use.
We redesigned this hoe, making it narrower, lighter and substantially more user friendly.
It is easier to use, not just because of reduced size and weight, but because it is so much more maneuverable than a full-size hoe.
The blade is 4 1/2" wide. 54" hardwood handle, 58" overall.

A standard draw hoe is useful but often too wide for closely spaced plants and too heavy for extended use. Lee Valley redesigned this hoe with a 4 1/2" blade – narrower than most – and lighter construction, making it more maneuverable and less tiring to use over long sessions.
The slim draw hoe handles the same range of tasks as a full-size draw hoe: weeding, hilling, and cutting furrows or trenches for planting. The narrower blade simply makes these tasks easier around plants with close spacing.
The handle is 54", giving the tool an overall length of 58". This allows most gardeners to work from a standing position.
