To help tip the odds in your favor when starting seeds indoors, this set combines a propagation tray, dome, grow light and timer, so it’s easy to maintain the ideal conditions that delicate seedlings need to thrive.
The clear plastic dome traps heat and moisture like a greenhouse, helping create a warm, humid environment inside. The 7" high dome gives seedlings room to grow, and has two adjustable vents to control airflow and heat.
The 21" × 11" × 2 1/2" deep tray has a raised pattern on the bottom to keep pots above the water and permit air circulation, and is rigid enough to carry seedlings to the garden when they're ready for planting out.
To promote vigorous growth, the 18W, energy-efficient LED array is set in an aluminum housing with integrated reflectors, evenly bathing the tray area with bright, full-spectrum light that closely matches the wavelengths of natural sunlight.
The included mechanical timer can be programmed in 15-minute intervals, automatically turning the LEDs on and off in a regular cycle, even when you’re not around.
