Working with steel chicken wire is a miserable task. A long-overdue alternative, this high-strength HDPE plastic mesh is far easier to handle.
You can cut it with scissors and work with it barehanded without fear of nicks and cuts. It has minimal spool memory, so positioning it is much less of a struggle.
It is incredibly tough and won't corrode or rot through long exposure to the elements, even when buried or submerged.
An effective barrier against rabbits and other garden pests, the 1/2" mesh is useful in a wide range of other outdoor applications, from tree guards and eavestrough leaf screens to trellises, pet runs – and yes, chicken coops.
