We know that this main catalog is our most eagerly anticipated catalog of the year. It's the woodworking equivalent of opening night, and for good reason; it consolidates the product additions we made last season, and adds a sprinkle of new items into the mix.
This is going to be an exciting year for the introduction of new tools. Already included in this catalog are our unique side rabbet plane and our long-awaited replacement for the venerable Stanley #289, executed for the first time as a matched pair of right and left skew planes.
Later this year, we will release the first plane of our premium line, so named for its advanced design, premium materials, and high standard tolerances. Also in the works is a unique dovetail saw that will create a new benchmark in price/performance of a staple tool in any cabinetmaker's arsenal, as well as a long-needed redesign of the versatile tail vise. In fact, it's probable that one or more of these will be complete long before our next catalog supplement mailing*.
And a good thing it is, too, that there are so many intriguing new tools on the horizon; if the turmoil rampant in the rest of the economy persists, you'll at least have that many more opportunities to take refuge in the workshop ...

Just as we promise for our catalog mailing list, we will not rent out your address, nor will we hound you every three days exhorting you to buy something. For those of you who still prefer analog interaction, rest assured that we will continue to produce and print the same high-quality catalogs that we have for the past three decades.
