Description

Tansu (the Japanese word for “trunk”) refers to a variety of trunks, chests, boxes and storage cabinetry popular in Japan from about 1650 to 1920. Combining the skills of the cabinetmaker, blacksmith and lacquer artist, Tansu can run the gamut from simple unadorned cabinetry to ornate chests using 100 or more pieces of hardware.

Suitable for smaller projects, these L-braces are made from 0.5mm thick steel and painted black. Each leaf is 32mm long and 8mm wide.

They are mounted using escutcheon pins. (not included).
