Easy to install in a variety of locations (indoors, outdoors or in areas subject to moisture such as bathrooms and saunas), this LED tape lighting allows a broad range of design possibilities. More energy efficient than conventional lighting, it permits a range of illumination from bright task lighting to subtle accents using the various controllers, dimmers, diffusers and other accessories offered separately.
Each color-controlled tape light contains red, green and blue (RGB) LEDs (at 30 LEDs/metre) factory-sealed within clear, weather-resistant tubing. By adjusting the level of each base color (much like mixing paint) you can set the lighting to any color from a near-endless spectrum (including variations of white).
It can be purchased in 32' (10m) rolls or in by-the-foot lengths. To allow a custom fit, the tape lighting can be cut to length with scissors at the nearest cut line, marked every 4" along its length, and is backed with a high-tack peel-and-stick adhesive that makes mounting easy.
Splice connectors, wire-lead ready connectors and weather-resistant shrink tubing are sold separately.
All RGB LED lighting requires a 12V DC power supply with enough wattage to suit the intended application, some wiring and a color controller. While not required, you may want to add an on/off switch. For a more refined installation, we offer channels and diffusers separately.
The lights are CSA, cETLus or cUL listed. The LEDs are rated to last, maintenance free, for 50,000 hours (equivalent to five hours per day for 27 years).
These lights are compatible only with our 12V LED system and are not compatible with our 24V LED system.
