Warm or Natural White LED Tape Light (12V)

This is tape lighting sold on its own for when you do not want to use one of our kits. The necessary wiring and connectors are available to purchase separately. This lighting is an economical option when adding a short length of lighting to a kit. For example, if you need 10' of lighting, instead of buying two 8' kits, order one 8' kit plus another 2' of lighting and use a splice connector to join the light strips. The 32' (10m) rolls are a convenient choice when you have a lot of lighting to install or want long lighting runs with minimal splicing.

Easy to install, this indoor LED tape lighting allows a broad range of design possibilities. More energy efficient than conventional lighting, it permits a range of illumination from bright task lighting to subtle accents using the various controllers, dimmers, diffusers and other accessories offered separately.

The light strips are backed with a high-tack peel-and-stick adhesive, and can be cut to length (every 4" for the 30 LEDs/m, 2" for 60 LEDs/m and 1" for the 120 LEDs/m). The strips are available with warm white (about 3000K) or natural white (about 4000K) color temperatures and require a 12VDC power supply with enough wattage to suit the application.

Warm white lighting provides elegant, indirect lighting that complements wood tones, enriches colors and promotes relaxation. Natural white lighting is ideal for task or accent lighting and imparts a bright and clean modern look.

The tape lights are available in three light densities.

The 30 LEDs per metre (9 LEDs per foot) density is well suited for decorative lighting such as above cabinets, in coves or on tray ceilings, where ambience is the primary purpose of the lighting.

The 60 LEDs per metre (18 LEDs per foot) density is a good all-around solution for accent lighting and lower brightness task lighting such as under cabinets and in toe-kick areas. Its greater LED density provides brighter illumination and a more seamless glow.

The 120 LEDs per metre (36 LEDs per foot) density provides a brightness level suitable for task lighting. Also useful for accent lighting to be installed very close to an adjacent surface, since the high LED density provides the most seamless illumination (no hot spots).

The lights are CSA, cETLus or cUL listed. The LEDs are rated to last 50,000 hours; five hours of use per day translates to 27 years of maintenance-free lighting.

While not required, you may want to add a dimmer or an on/off switch. For a more refined installation, we offer channels and diffusers. 

These lights are compatible only with our 12V LED system and are not compatible with our 24V LED system.
