Though uncommon, padlocks with removable shackles are very useful. When separated, the shackle is easier to thread through a hasp or eye, especially one in a confined spot, since it's not limited by the bulk and position of the lock body.
These are good locks, made in the Czech Republic. Each has a steel body and locking mechanism that is highly resistant to wear, dirt, moisture and corrosion – a shot of silicone-based lubricant once a year is all that is needed to keep everything working as it should.
The bow-shackle padlock has a larger inner radius for good clearance when connecting items such as heavy-gauge chain links. The long-shackle version gives you the extra reach needed to pass through fittings set at a distance, such as cabinet door handles. Each comes with three keys.
Measurement listed is inside height of the shackle.
