Description
Links are used for easy joining of fence wire, guy wires, or even page wire of various sizes. The wires are inserted from opposite ends of the device, and internal cam-action wheels prevent withdrawal.
Type 1 links connect wires from 0.051" (1.3mm) to 0.099" (2.5mm) in diameter, including wire gauges 16, 14 and 12 1/2. Type 2 links are used for wire from 0.087" (2.2mm) to 0.137" (3.5mm) in diameter, including gauges 12 1/2, 12 and 11.
Used with high-tension steel wires in the most common gauges (14 and 12 1/2 gauge), in our tests they withstood tensile forces from 500 lb to 1100 lb.
