This screw design has large-diameter, extremely thin threads that displace little plaster but hold well. Part of the secret is the 3/8" diameter stepped flange that holds snugly against the wall, preventing loosening produced by levering action, which causes standard screws to fail. It goes in easily using a #2 square driver and will support 20lb of downward pull.
Die-cast zinc alloy with a zinc plating.
