Description

Tansu (the Japanese word for “trunk”) refers to a variety of trunks, chests, boxes and storage cabinetry popular in Japan from about 1650 to 1920. Combining the skills of the cabinetmaker, blacksmith and lacquer artist, Tansu can run the gamut from simple unadorned cabinetry to ornate chests using 100 or more pieces of hardware.

This all-steel handle is well suited for larger and heavier pieces.

It has a 6mm square-stock handle and a 2mm thick plate, mounts with four #4 screws (not included) and has a matte black finish.
