With this hardware you can install a low-profile, retractable work surface in roughly the same space taken by a standard drawer.
Epoxy-coated steel with lubricated ball-bearing races, the slides telescope to move the work surface out from under a counter or desktop and lock in place using a spring-activated pop-up mechanism.
When retracted, the work surface is concealed with a false drawer front. The side-mount slides have a 66 lb weight capacity and will accommodate a work surface 490mm (19 5/16") long and from 14" to 22" wide. Depending on the thickness of the work surface, the mechanism requires clearance of at least 130mm (5 1/8") from the underside of the leading edge of the worktop. The vertical lift provided is 2 1/4".
