Description

When coal-burning stoves were commonplace, scuttles were used to transfer coal from the cellar to the stove. A large open top with elongated rim made loading and pouring coal easy. They remain useful today for storing or transferring bulky materials such as kindling, or as part of a decorative display.

This one is made in Turkey from sturdy galvanized steel with sealed seams and a tough powder-coat finish. A pivoting bail and a fixed side handle permit a controlled pour. Stands 16" tall, including the 2" raised base, and has a 14" top diameter.
