Anyone who has had grass killed by a downspout extension will recognize the utility of this support. It neatly elevates the end of the downspout 2 1/2" from the grass to prevent it from causing brown or dead spots.
Grass can grow through the open ring base of the support, so it won’t leave bare patches of earth like an improvised rock or brick support. It also allows easier trimming of the grass at the downspout end.
If your downspout has an articulating joint, a hooked top lets you attach the stand to the downspout so you can move them as one unit.
