Compact to store, these battery-operated LED units are a practical alternative to pyrotechnic flares, alerting other drivers to your presence with brilliant orange flashes in all directions. They also have a white LED array to serve as a work light, and strong magnets in the back let you mount them on a fender for a tire change or inside the hood when boosting a battery.
About 4" in diameter and 1 1/2" tall, they have a tough plastic housing that’s resistant to harsh weather conditions. The set comes in a nylon sleeve with a zippered top and carry handle, keeping the lights neatly stored and easy to grab. Each light runs on three included AAA batteries for over three hours of continuous operation – considerably longer than the 10 to 30 minute burn time of conventional safety flares. Best used in multiples to clearly mark both ends of the vehicle.
