It seems that hammock lovers are divided into two distinct camps. There are those who prefer rope hammocks for the cool airiness they provide, while others prefer a solid material that offers support free of pressure points.
The acrylic material used in this hammock feels like cotton and is UV, mildew and rot resistant. Two layers of acrylic enclose a layer of polyester fiber batting to create a quilted hammock that is remarkably comfortable. With a bed size of 55" wide by 82" long and an overall length of 13', it is large enough to accommodate two adults (450 lb total capacity). Includes heavy-duty zinc-plated steel chains and hardware for mounting to a tree or post.
Although it is designed to withstand the elements, we recommend that it be taken down when not in use so as not to collect rainwater or debris.
The hammock is available on its own or as a set with a tri-beam hammock stand made of heavy 12-gauge steel.
