Fit the tip into a piping bag with the coupler, twist the bag to seal above the icing, then squeeze evenly from the top; these snowflake piping tips hold their crisp points even with a steady, continuous squeeze.
Slide the large coupler, available separately, into the bag first, then push the tip onto the exposed threads and twist the ring to lock it; that setup is what lets you swap between the five snowflake patterns without changing bags.
Five different snowflake patterns come in the set, enough to cover a tray of cookies or cupcakes without repeating the same shape twice.
