We’re amazed at just how well this steamer works. Its close-fitting lid traps the steam generated during cooking, so very little added moisture is needed to cook rapidly – often the moisture already present in the food is enough.
Made of FDA-certified food-grade silicone that is heat resistant to 428°F (220°C), the steamer is ideal for use in a microwave oven, cooking most vegetables in just a few minutes. It can also be used in a conventional oven (although it doesn’t cook quite as rapidly as in a microwave). The thick handles have the rigidity needed for a good grip and are large enough to keep your fingers away from escaping steam.
The steamer holds 2 1/2 cups (600ml). Freezer and dishwasher safe. Highly recommended.
