With this tool, it is surprisingly easy to rice cooked potatoes or root vegetables. The sturdy dual-pivot gear mechanism and extra-long glass-reinforced nylon handles let you apply tremendous leverage with little effort.
Squeezing the handles drives a pressing plate, forcing contents through fine perforations in the stainless-steel cup. Everything but the skins passes through neatly (no need for peeling first!), yielding a smooth consistency with no lumps, while retaining much of the natural texture. The press opens wide for loading and the cup can be removed for cleaning.
