Description

Most barbecues have a built-in thermometer that reads the temperature of the air cavity well above the grill, rather than at its surface. This bimetal thermometer rests directly on the grill, reading the temperature right where it counts, which is especially important when searing foods such as steaks or scallops. It can also identify hot and cool spots to help avoid burning and inconsistent cooking, and can even be used to take the guesswork out of grilling over a campfire.

The 2 1/4" diameter dial indicates temperatures up to 370°C/700°F, with ideal grilling and searing ranges marked. NSF-certified, it has a stainless-steel housing, a glass face and two projecting wire tabs that make it easier to grasp with tongs.

An excellent gift for those who approach grilling with passion.
