Occidental Leather is well known for meticulous design and rugged construction using high-quality materials. The leather bags are made from premium top-grain hides treated with a blend of oils and waxes to help withstand daily use in the elements. Seams are sewn with heavy nylon thread; all critical connections have two rows of stitching for additional reinforcement. All rivets are washer-backed for stress distribution and have smooth surfaces on both sides of the leather, so you will neither snag your knuckles reaching into the bag nor wear a hole in your pants, as is common with split rivets. Tool pockets and holders are carefully positioned so items are readily accessible by the hand that will use them. All metal parts are nickel plated to resist rust.
The set includes a belt, a tool bag, a fastener bag and a hammer holder, and is available in a right or left-hand version. A right-handed carpenter typically wears a tool bag on the right and a fastener bag on the left; left-handed users do the opposite. The RH (right-handed) and LH (left-handed) designations refer to the dominant hand of the user.
The center of this system is the sturdy belt made from thick, bridle-quality leather for holding tool and fastener pouches. At 3" wide, the belt distributes weight over a broad area, so it remains comfortable when worn for long periods.
The tool bag has a large main pouch, about 10" wide and 7 1/2" deep, with six internal slots for pencils, nail sets and the like, plus two 4 1/2" wide by 5" deep large outer pockets, a sturdy leather tool loop and a tape-measure holder.
The triple-pouch fastener bag features a 10" wide, 8" deep main pouch, a 7" wide by 6" deep outer pocket, a 5" wide by 4" deep upper pocket and five tool slots.
The independent hammer holder has a 2 3/4" hammer ring and a reinforced two-ply backing plate for added comfort.
