In this inspiring coffee table book, award-winning photographer Mastrovito explores the Québec log home through a series of stunning color images.

It features 33 homes in various regions of the province, including Laval, Montreal, the Laurentians, the Outaouais and the Eastern Townships. Some date back to the early 1800s, others were built using traditional methods and reclaimed lumber from 19th-century buildings, while some are modern-day kit homes built from local timber.

With each house, the author explains its history, architectural features and details of the interior décor. The 375 photographs highlight everything from stairs and bed frames to dining tables and lighting fixtures, largely made by Québecois artisans and craftsmen.

With text written in both English and French, this book is filled with ideas for anyone contemplating building or renovating a log home.
