This book of ornamental sculpture patterns presents mid- to high-relief appliqué carving designs that can be reproduced or adapted to embellish furniture in the French Provençale style. Drawing on examples from five pieces (a table, a dresser and three armoires), it offers an in-depth study of 22 traditional in-the-round and fretwork carving designs. Each is illustrated with color photos and a full-size black-and-white pattern printed on a single 30" × 17" fold-out sheet that can be easily traced.

The book is spiral bound to lay open flat on the workbench, with text printed in both English and French. A valuable resource for anyone interested in this distinctive furniture style.
