85S0801 - Spiralling/Texturing Tool
This interesting tool allows the turner to create a variety of unique patterns, textures, twists and spirals with relatively little effort. Useful for spiralling goblets, candleholders, boxes, vases and bowls, the spiralling system will create either left- or right-hand spirals.
Featuring an indexed tool rest that enables replication, the system allows different pitch and twist profiles simply by varying the angle of presentation of the tool to the workpiece. Used without the tool rest, the system doubles as a texturing tool capable of creating a wide variety of orange peel, striated and ribbed patterns.
The system includes a removable tool rest, four interchangeable cutters (a texturing cutter and 2, 4 and 6mm spiralling cutters) and instructions. 18 1/2" long overall. A great way to add value to your workpiece.
