Designed for gluing guitar bridges, these clamps have a deep U-shape that lets them reach through the soundhole to clamp the bridge in place (combined with user-made cauls to distribute clamping force).
Strong but lightweight, they are made from cast aluminum; each has a steel spindle with a swivelling brass pad. Unlike cam clamps, they won't shift position when tightened.
Available with a 6 1/4" or 8" throat depth, with a maximum capacity of 1 13/16" or 2" respectively.
This guitar bridge clamp is built to hold a guitar bridge in place while glue sets, its deep U-shape reaching through the soundhole so you can clamp from inside the body with a shop-made caul to spread the pressure.
It comes in two depths, 6 1/4" for most bridges and 8" for guitars with a deeper body, with maximum capacities of 1 13/16" and 2" respectively.
No, its threaded steel spindle bears down evenly as you tighten it, so it holds its position instead of twisting the way a cam-style clamp can.
The brass pad pivots at the tip of the spindle so it seats flat against the bridge even when the clamp isn't perfectly square to the surface, spreading pressure evenly instead of digging in at one edge.
