Description

Originally called a birdcage-maker's awl because it was used for drilling holes for the cage wire, this square-bladed awl quickly spread to general woodworking.

It is ideal for quickly pre-drilling for screws or even for general mark-out work. Works well in hardwoods.

Wood handle, forged and ground steel blade. 5" long overall.
