Combining a smooth, rapid cutting action with a controlled two-handed grip, these unusual files deserve a place in every carver’s tool kit.
Designed to be skewed at a slight angle as they are drawn toward you, they let you use both hands to apply considerable force with little effort. Heat-treated to remain sharp through long use, the teeth shear wood fibers rather than abrading them, creating shavings instead of dust. The single-cut diagonal groove pattern helps clear shavings to the side, reducing clogging.
Effective on hardwood and softwood as well as plastics and other synthetic materials, they measure 8" overall with toothed portions about 2" wide and a textured coating at the ends for grip. Offered with bastard (coarse) and medium tooth patterns.
Made in Japan.
