Description
Hand made in France, premium-quality Auriou rasps are more expensive than others, but the skill used in forging the blades and hand cutting (or stitching) the teeth ensures a superior result. The densely patterned teeth leave no scratch pattern, and the blades have tapered tips for a tight stroke to concentrate the cut over a small area.
Approximately 7 1/4" long with a 2 3/4" blade, these needle rasps are well suited for making models or musical instruments and shaping keyholes or pierced carvings – anywhere a larger tool would be awkward or too aggressive.
Available individually or as a set of four, all are very fine grain 14.
