With slender handles for pencil-like control, these groove cutters are useful for freehand inlay work and following templates. They are available in 0.025", 0.032" and 0.040" widths and have a V-notched hook blade that scores the edges of grooves for quickly cutting clean channels. They are also good complements to our inlay groove and slicing tool since the groove cutters can be used to clean up, deepen or terminate grooves without widening them.
The ABS/nylon handles are ribbed for sure grip. The tools measure about 6" long. Blades are made of spring steel hardened to Rc48-51. Available individually or in sets with the Veritas inlay chisels.

Draw the V-notched hook blade along the edge of a groove to score a clean channel, following a template or working freehand for precise inlay lines.
The inlay groove and slicing tool cuts a new groove, while a groove cutter cleans up, deepens or terminates an existing one without widening it, so the two work best used together.
The blade is spring steel hardened to Rc48-51, giving it a durable edge that holds up to repeated scoring cuts.
