Council Tool Pulaski

A standard tool of the U.S. Forest Service and wilderness firefighters, the Pulaski is a combination of axe and mattock that is equally effective in the forest and the yard.

The head is forged from 1060 steel hardened to 48-55 HRC for durability and edge retention, and weighs 3.75 lb. Mounted on a 36" grade-A hickory handle, the head is coated in red enamel and the cutting edges with a clear lacquer to resist rust.

A rugged tool for controlling overgrown brush, cutting through tree roots, and excavation in heavy soil.

Made in the USA by a family-run company that has been producing hand-finished axes and tools of the highest quality and durability since 1886.
