About Veritas seconds: this stock of our flat palm plane (05P9001) has some minor cosmetic flaw – a scratch, a pit in the casting or tiny blemishes – but the plane is functionally perfect. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.
With a height-adjustable palm rest for better in-hand registration, this miniature plane is easily maneuvered and permits fine, controlled cuts.
The investment-cast steel body has a 45° bed angle and a fixed mouth, and uses a brass retention screw to secure the included 30° bevel A2 tool steel blade (0.06" thick by 3/8" wide). The sole is approximately 1 1/2" long by 5/8" wide.
The hardwood palm rest is removable for work in tight spaces.
