About Veritas seconds: this stock of our bevel-up jack rabbet plane (05P5371) has some minor cosmetic flaw – a scratch, a pit in the casting or tiny blemishes – but the plane is functionally perfect. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.
Similar to a jack plane, this plane is suitable for very large rabbets and fielded or bevelled panels – anywhere you need to make a long, wide cut that would require major effort with a smaller rabbet or shoulder plane.
