About Veritas seconds: this stock of our #4 smooth plane (05P2671) has some minor cosmetic flaw – a scratch, a pit in the casting or tiny blemishes – but the plane is functionally perfect. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.
The most commonly used bench plane because of its versatility, the #4 is the ideal size for general smoothing, finish work, trimming parts and other odd jobs. It has the mass required to cut smoothly but is also light enough (4 lb 6 oz) to avoid fatigue in use.
