About Veritas seconds: this stock of our low-angle smooth plane (05P2571) has some minor cosmetic flaw – a scratch, a pit in the casting or tiny blemishes – but the plane is functionally perfect. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.
A low-angle smooth plane is used to smooth surfaces and, with its generous side wings, is excellent for shooting miters. Its low cutting angle of 37° minimizes fiber tearing, making it ideal for end-grain work.
