05P3008 - Veritas Universal Variable Angle Plane Fence
Designed to fit a wide array of bench planes, including those made by other manufacturers, this variable angle fence can be used left or right. Not just for right angles, the fence allows you to plane accurate and consistent angles from 45° to 135°.
Angles are set using a square or angle gauge, or directly on an angle you wish to match. A spring-loaded lever locks the fence and can be rotated out of the way when not needed.
Through-holes in the 11" long aluminum fence allow the attachment of a wooden extension, or a tapered spacer for planing angles less than 45°.
The fence clamps to the side wing of most planes using the included brass clamping knobs; the position of the clamping knobs is adjustable to accommodate the length of the plane's side wing.
For planes such as our jack rabbet, jointer, shooting and custom bench planes, the fence is designed to mount to the tapped holes in the side wings using stainless-steel knobs that are available separately.
