About Veritas seconds: this stock of our rip carcass saw (05T0705) has some minor cosmetic flaw on the handle or spine; performance of the saw is not affected. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.
Typically used to cut joints in drawer runners, dividers, and stretchers, this saw is well balanced, maneuverable and scaled for smaller work than a tenon saw. The 12 tpi rip saw has a 10° rake angle and an included angle of 60° for efficient cutting parallel to the grain.
- The teeth are set at 0.003" per side
- High-carbon steel blade is 11" long and 0.020" thick with a cut depth of about 2 3/8"
