About Veritas seconds: this stock of our crosscut gent’s saw (05T1005) has some minor cosmetic flaw on the handle or the spine; performance of the saw is not affected and the saw blade is not a second. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.
Gent’s tools were originally developed for “gentleman’s” tool kits, intended for those who wanted good-quality tools for occasional work, but didn’t need them full-size. Our gent’s saw has a 7 7/8" long high-carbon steel blade that is just 0.015" thick with 0.003" of teeth set per side.
