About Veritas seconds: this stock of our crosscut carcass saw (05T0701) has some minor cosmetic flaw on the handle or spine; performance of the saw is not affected. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.

Typically used to cut joints in drawer runners, dividers and stretchers, this saw is well balanced, maneuverable and scaled for smaller work than a tenon saw. The 14 tpi crosscut saw has a rake angle of 15Β°, an included angle of 60Β°, and teeth filed with alternating 15Β° bevels so they sever wood fibers rather than tear them.

  • The teeth are set at 0.003" per side

  • High-carbon steel blade is 11" long and 0.020" thick with a cut depth of about 2 3/8"

  • 16 3/8" long overall

  • Patented

  • Made in Canada
