  • Magnetic Tool Contact: Three embedded 1/2" dia. rare-earth magnets help maintain contact between the saw and the guide's reference face when cutting.
  • Low-Friction Glide Surface: A strip of low-friction UHMW tape over the reference face lets the saw glide smoothly while the magnets keep it aligned.
  • Square, Accurate Tracking: The guide helps a backsaw track straight and true, especially useful for crosscutting tenon shoulders or defining dado edges.
  • Flexible Positioning: Hold the guide against a workpiece by hand or secure it with clamps, giving you a roughly 1 1/4" tall registration surface throughout the cut.
  • Non-Slip Base: Two high-friction strips on the bottom resist slipping on the work surface.
  • Clamp-Ready T-Slot: A T-slot accepts a pair of 2" capacity clamps (availalble separately) for hands-free, accurate securing.

These anodized aluminum guides help keep a saw square to a workpiece. They are particularly useful when crosscutting tenon shoulders or defining the edges of a dado, since the guide helps a backsaw track straight and true.

Held against a workpiece with a hand or secured with clamps (not included), it provides a registration surface, about 1 1/4" tall, to help maintain accuracy throughout the cut. The machined reference face has three embedded 1/2" dia. rare-earth magnets and is covered with a strip of low-friction UHMW tape. The magnets help maintain tool contact with the guide while the tape allows tools to glide along the reference face.

The bottom of the guide has two high-friction strips to resist slipping on a surface. It also has a T-slot to accept a pair of 2" capacity clamps (available separately). These clamps make the guide easy to secure with accuracy, particularly if you have the use of only one hand.

The guides are available in 8" and 14" lengths. Replacement packages, available separately, include two high-friction strips and two UHMW strips.
