Insulated tools are a must for electricians and anyone working with live wiring; these screwdrivers have insulated handles and shanks to protect you from accidental contact with exposed wires. A thick layer of insulation is molded directly to the shank to ensure it won’t flake or peel off. The steel shanks are through-hardened for wear resistance, with precision-machined tips for an exact fit in fastener heads.
We offer the three drivers most frequently needed for electrical work, each with the drive type and size emblazoned on the base of the handle to let you quickly identify it in a tool bag or belt. The ergonomically shaped handles are cushioned for comfort, with flats to keep them from rolling away. Each is sized to the tool, with overall lengths ranging from 8 1/4" to 11 1/4".
Made in Germany, they meet industry standards for protection (including CSA, OSHA, NFPA, and IEEE) and are marked with the “double triangle” symbol of ASTM* F1505, the VDE† certification mark, and the “1000V” designation of IEC‡ 60900, indicating they have been tested under a load of 10,000 volts to guarantee reliable protection up to 1000 AC volts and 1500 DC volts.
