It also guarantees that remounted pieces are held as securely the third and fourth time as they were the first.
The 3 5/8" long post has wrench flats to assist threading to a blank. The brass nut with a large 1 1/4" diameter flanged face locks the carving in place. About 5 1/2" long overall.
