Description

Our new chair design echoes the style and comfort of the classic Adirondack chair, with a few ergonomic tweaks. Dubbed the Kitchissippi chair in honor of the Algonquin name for the river near our headquarters, it has a high seat with a shallow angle and an upright backrest, reducing the effort needed to lift yourself out of the chair. The front edge curls inwards, providing room to place your feet under your center of gravity before rising. The simple and solid structure makes it easy and quick to build as well as durable.

The full-scale plans include cutting lists and detailed construction notes, use standard lumber sizes, and are generally designed to be as straightforward as possible – including full-size templates for shaped pieces.
