The parallel side fence attaches directly to the HLC 82 cordless planer to provide accurate, edge-referenced guidance when planing rabbets and working close to an edge. By maintaining a consistent distance from the workpiece edge, it helps keep the planer tracking straight and parallel throughout the cut. This controlled guidance prevents lateral drift, resulting in cleaner, more uniform rabbets and improved accuracy compared to freehand planing. Quick to install and easy to adjust, it adds precision and repeatability to edge-guided planing tasks.
