The TBX 4 battery uses Festool’s tabless cell technology to improve power delivery and reduce heat generation without increasing battery weight. By eliminating conventional cell tabs, the battery permits more efficient energy transfer, helping improve run time, charging speed and operating temperature control. This supports more consistent performance during demanding applications while reducing thermal stress on the battery.

When paired with the Festool Airstream SCA 16 quick charger, the battery is actively cooled before and during charging. Active cooling shortens recharge time and helps return the battery to service more quickly. The reduced heat associated with tabless cell construction also contributes to longer battery service life.

Integrated Bluetooth functionality can automatically activate a paired Festool dust extractor when the cordless tool is switched on. The Festool app provides access to battery information including charge level, temperature and charge-cycle history.
