Oneway Jaw Sets

Four styles are available: standard, dovetail, spigot and flat. Please note that the #2 standard jaw set is included with the Basic, Talon and Stronghold chuck kits.

The standard jaw sets have serrated internal and external surfaces for firm grip.

• The #1 standard jaw set has an external capacity of 3/8” to 2” and an internal capacity of 7/8” to 2 1/2” when used with the basic chuck and an external capacity of 3/8” to 1 5/8” and internal capacity of 1” to 2 3/8” when used with the talon chuck
• The #2 standard jaw set has an external capacity of 1 5/8” to 3” and an internal capacity of 2” to 3 5/8” when used with the basic chuck and an external capacity of 1 5/8” to 2 3/4” and an internal capacity of 2” to 3 3/8” when used with the talon chuck
• The #3 standard jaw set has an external capacity of 3 1/4” to 4 3/4” and an internal capacity of 3 7/8” to 5 3/8” when used with the basic chuck and an external capacity of 2 7/8” to 4” and internal capacity of 3 3/8” to 4 5/8” when used with the talon chuck
• When used with the stronghold chuck, the #2 standard jaw set has an external capacity of 1 3/4” to 3 1/4” and an internal capacity of 2 3/8” to 4”
• When used with the stronghold chuck, the #3 standard jaw set has an external capacity of 3 7/8” to 5 1/4” and an internal capacity of 4 3/8” to 6”
• The #4 standard jaw set, when used with the stronghold chuck, has an external capacity of 4 1/4” to 5 3/4” and an internal capacity of 4 7/8” to 6 1/2”

Dovetail jaw sets are for lighter-duty application, and have smooth, non-marring internal and external gripping surfaces.

• The #2 dovetail jaw set has an external capacity of 1 5/8” to 3” and an internal capacity of 2” to 3 5/8” when used with the basic chuck and an external capacity of 1 5/8 to 2 7/8” and internal capacity of 2” to 3 1/2” when used with the talon chuck
• The #3 dovetail jaw set has an external capacity of 3 3/8” to 4 3/4” and an internal capacity of 3 7/8” to 5 3/8” when used with the basic chuck and an external capacity of 2 7/8” to 4 5/8” and internal capacity of 3 3/8” to 4 7/8” when used with the talon chuck.
• When used with the stronghold chuck, the #2 dovetail jaw set has an external capacity of 2” to 3 1/2” and an internal capacity 2 5/8” to 4 1/8”
• When used with the stronghold chuck, the #3 dovetail jaw set has an external capacity of 3 7/8” to 5 1/4” and internal capacity of 4 1/2” to 6”, and when used with the stronghold chuck, the #4 dovetail set has an external capacity of 4 1/4” to 5 3/4” and internal capacity of 4 7/8” to 6 1/2”

Spigot jaw sets are available with standard (serrated) or smooth faces and are for use on small workpieces.

• When used with the basic chuck, the standard spigot jaw set has an external capacity of 1/4" to 1 3/4” and an internal capacity of 1 1/16” to 2 1/2”
• The smooth spigot jaw set has an external capacity of 1/4" to 1 3/4” and an internal capacity of 1 1/16” to 2 1/2” when used with the basic chuck, and an external capacity of 1/4" to 1 5/8” and internal capacity of 1” to 2 3/8” when used with the talon chuck
• Used with the talon chuck, the standard spigot jaw set has an external capacity of 1/4" to 1 5/8” and an internal capacity of 1” to 2 3/8”
• The #1 standard spigot jaw set has an external capacity of 3/8” to 1 7/8” and an internal capacity of 1 1/8” to 2 5/8” when used with the stronghold chuck
• The #1 smooth spigot set has an external capacity of 3/8” to 2” and an internal capacity of 1 1/8” to 2 5/8” when used with the stronghold chuck

The flat jaw sets are ideal for awkward or difficult-to-hold workpieces. Screw wooden blocks to the face of these jaws and shape them on the lathe to develop a custom jaw set. They are available for use with the basic/talon and stronghold chucks.
