Held in a drill or lathe chuck, this high-speed steel mill is used to square and trim a wood blank after the brass sleeve has been glued into the pen body. It also removes glue squeeze-out from inside the brass sleeve.

This pilot shaft corresponds to the 10mm drill used with some of our pen kits. It is used in the 25mm cutter head (sold separately) and is interchangeable with the other pilot shafts we offer.
