An upgraded version of the GRR-Ripper we have offered for many years, this combination blade guard and push block is a versatile and highly effective stock guide. Primarily used when making rip cuts on a table saw, it also helps improve safety and accuracy on a bandsaw, jointer or router table.
On a table saw, it carries both the main stock and the offcut past the blade, reducing the risk of kickback, burning and a wandering cut. Two fixed side legs (1/4" and 1/2" wide) and an adjustable 1 1/16" wide center leg straddle the blade in various configurations. On the top of the main body, this new model has a clear orange cursor window that aligns with the center leg, indicating its position throughout the cut to help avoid accidental blade contact. For repeat cuts, the cursor window can be referenced against the metric/Imperial scale so it’s easy to return to a previous setting.
A high-friction layer on the legs permits good stock control, while two levelling guides and a stabilizing plate keep the body from tipping on narrow work. The stock guide accepts shop-built fences and spacers for custom applications. Using two stock guides is recommended on long stock.
Several optional accessories are available separately, including an alternative leg for making cuts as thin as 1/8", as well as a spare cursor kit that can be used to retrofit any older GRR-Ripper (both the 100 and 200 models).
