The great value of this blade set comes from its broad utility. The set of 10 includes eight Japanese tooth-pattern blades (three fan, three square-tip, two extra-long) and two conventional-tooth TiN-coated blades.*
The 14 tpi Japanese tooth pattern blades (for wood, composites and some plastics) cut quickly without tearout. The fan blade has a 2 5/8" wide edge that, when used in a side-to-side motion, permits the efficient chip clearance needed for rapid cutting. The narrow square-tip blade measures 1 1/4" wide and is useful where greater precision is needed. The extra-long blades are 1 3/4" wide and provide a cut depth of 2 5/8" for additional reach.
The 20 tpi TiN-coated blade, 1 3/4" wide with a cut depth of 2 3/16", is suitable for aluminum, copper and unhardened steel, and offers a good balance between surface finish and cutting speed.
All blades are bimetal construction, made of high-carbon steel with a toothline of high-speed steel for wear resistance. Excellent value for a practical selection of hard-wearing blades.
