With a highly aggressive 8mm oscillation pattern paired with a design that maximizes dust extraction, this pneumatic sander lets you remove large amounts of material quickly with practically no dust. Its relatively compact 5" platen makes it easy to hug contours or work in tight spots, while the platen’s bevelled sides let you sand right up to an edge without contacting adjacent surfaces.
Only 4" tall and weighing 0.91kg (2 lb), the ergonomically designed sander is easy to handle. It connects to standard 3/8" diameter air hoses, requiring 17 cfm of air at pressure up to 90 psi.
It has a rear port for connection to a 1" diameter vacuum hose, and a pattern of holes in the platen that draws dust from across the entire sanding disc. It has a noise rating of 74 dB, low vibration output (3.8m/s²) and a shielded outlet port that directs exhaust air away from the user.
The upper control paddle lets you adjust speed on the fly without interrupting your work – pressing the paddle increases the speed up to 12,000 rpm, a lighter squeeze slows the motor, and releasing it stops the tool within seconds.
Compatible with a range of Mirka discs, it lets you select from a full line of abrasive types and grits to match the application.
