With an aggressive 5mm orbit pattern for rapid stock removal, this sander works well in tight spots or on curved surfaces, where the relatively compact 5" platen makes it easier to hug the contours of your work.
Compatible with a range of Mirka discs, it lets you select from a full line of abrasive types and grits to match the application.
Effectively dust-free in use, it has a rear port for connection to a 1" diameter vacuum hose, and a pattern of holes in the platen to pull dust from across the entire sanding disc.
Powered by a 14' grounded cord, its 350W brushless motor performs comparably to a 500W conventional motor, yet at only 4" tall and weighing just over 1kg (2 lb 5 oz), the sander is easy to handle. It has a noise rating of 71 dB as well as low vibration output (3.2m/s²) and pairs with the myMirka app to monitor long-term vibration exposure, manage rpm settings and more.
In fixed-speed mode, you can lock in any of seven settings within its 4000 to 10,000 rpm range, with the paddle serving as an on/off switch to stop the tool within seconds. In variable-speed mode, the upper control paddle lets you adjust speed on the fly within each of the seven rpm ranges without interrupting your work – pressing the paddle increases the rpms, and a lighter squeeze slows the motor.
A small sample of Mirka abrasive discs and a platen protector are included to get you started.
